- The cheapest whole-group house starts at $300 a night in Tamarindo and $400 in Tulum — roughly $100 a night between them, before anyone has eaten.
- Both are at their best in January, February, March, April, December. Tulum in November.
- We carry noticeably more to do in Tulum (9 things) than in Tamarindo (6), which matters most for the middle day when the group splits up.
- Tamarindo is in Costa Rica, Tulum in Mexico.
