- The cheapest whole-group house starts at $250 a night in Durango and $500 in Crested Butte — roughly $250 a night between them, before anyone has eaten.
- Both are at their best in July, August, September. Crested Butte also holds up in January, February, and Durango in May, June, October.
- We carry noticeably more to do in Durango (12 things) than in Crested Butte (4), which matters most for the middle day when the group splits up.
