- Denver has 2 stays that sleep a group of twelve in one place, against 1 in Crested Butte. If keeping everyone under one roof is the point, that is the difference that matters.
- The cheapest whole-group house starts at $300 a night in Denver and $500 in Crested Butte — roughly $200 a night between them, before anyone has eaten.
- Both are at their best in July, August, September. Crested Butte also holds up in January, February, and Denver in May, June, October.
