Twelve in a Shaw Row House and the Mall at Golden Hour

Questions
- Cars or no cars?
- No cars. Reagan National is about 15 minutes from the row house and the city runs on transit and short rides. Parking a group's worth of rentals in Shaw or Capitol Hill is a problem you can just skip.
- What's the cheap day?
- The National Mall sunset walk from the Lincoln Memorial to the Capitol is free and takes about 90 minutes, and the Georgetown walking tour runs $20–$35. Founding Farmers does a bottomless brunch that keeps the group fed without a big bill.
- When should we come?
- March through June or September through November. July and August are heavy and humid. Spring books out early because of the crowds, so lock the house and Tail Up Goat at the same time.
