Worth the ferry

A Colonial House with a Roof, a Glowing Bay, Late Tacos

Fourteen beds in Old San Juan with a rooftop terrace the group will use every night. The bio bay kayak in Fajardo takes twenty and runs after dark, so plan a late dinner around it. La Madre does tacos when La Factoría runs long.

Questions

Do we need a car?
Not for Old San Juan — SJU is about 15 minutes out and the walking tour covers the neighborhood on foot. You'll need transport for the El Yunque hike and the Fajardo bio bay, so either rent or book those as guided trips with pickup.
El Yunque or Culebra?
Pick one. Both are full days and doing them back to back burns the group out. El Yunque is the rainforest hike with La Mina Falls; Culebra is the ferry day at Flamenco Beach. Whichever you skip is the reason to come back.
Which dinner needs a reservation?
Marmalade Restaurant & Wine Bar — it's the tasting-menu night and it needs booking well in advance. Santaella in the Mercado de Santurce is the easier big-table option, and La Madre is open late for the night that goes long.
